We are incredibly grateful to PennyFix for their generous grant, which has allowed us to provide much-needed spay and neuter services for dogs in Okanogan County. Their commitment to preventing overpopulation and ensuring healthier, happier lives for animals aligns perfectly with our mission at Fur Ever Yours Animal Rescue. With their support, we’ve already begun to see the positive impact in our community as several of these spayed and neutered dogs have found their forever homes. Thanks to PennyFix, we’ve been able to take meaningful strides toward controlling the pet population in our county. The animals in our care are healthier and have a better chance at long-term happiness because of this program. Achilles - Great Pyrenees Male Looking For Family

 Home To Home: This handsome boy is Achilles. 2-year-old neutered Great Pyrenees who has come such a long way since he was found lost and emaciated earlier this year. Brandy Rise, a local animal lover, took him in. Brandy has been helping Achilles learn to trust and feel safe again. Today, this gentle giant is fully vaccinated, altered, and thriving. While he's shown some interest in livestock, Achilles would do best as a family pet or in a rural setting without chickens or young goats. Achilles is dog friendly and loves people. Grandkids come to visit with no problems. He’s a quick learner and is already kennel-trained, but he'll need someone who can continue his training and give him the structure he deserves.

Achilles especially enjoyed all the love, attention, and belly rubs he received at the North 40 store today—his confidence is growing every day! He’s ready to find his forever family who can continue showering him with love and kindness. Achilles would make a wonderful companion for anyone looking for a loyal, gentle, and loving dog.

Home to Home pet adoption is a process where pet owners looking to rehome their animals connect directly with potential adopters. Babe - Jack Russell Female Needs New Home

Babe, a 6-year-old, 14 lb Jack Russell Terrier, has known nothing but love and adventure since she was a puppy. Her family has cherished every moment with her. But lately, life has changed for Babe. Her mom is dealing with some serious health issues, and it seems that Babe can feel the shift. She’s a bit confused, maybe even a little out of place. After all, she’s been the heart of her home for so long.

If you know anything about Jack Russells, you know they are lively, energetic, and smart beyond words. Babe embodies all of these traits. She’s curious, spunky, loves cats, horses, pigs,, sheep and cows. She doesn’t care for chickens and may be dog selective. However, once you bond with Babe, you have her whole heart!

With all the recent changes in her life, Babe could use a little retraining when it comes to boundaries. Her confusion about her current situation means she would benefit from a patient home that can help her regain her confidence and feel safe again. Buckley is 70 lbs. of energy and muscle needing an experienced foster or adopter. He’s about a year old. Gets really excited when handler is getting ready for a leash walk. He tends to jump and can be a bit mouthy. Buckley needs someone who is patient and can guide him. We believe, with plenty of physical (frisbees, balls) and mental stimulation (puzzles) with similar size dogs, Mr. Buck has the potential to be a great furry companion.

Meet Alvin: Perfect Young Addition To Your Family Terrier Mix

Alvin, is our adorable 7-month-old, 11-pound terrier mix. He is eagerly waiting for his forever home! With his neuter surgery scheduled for the end of August, Alvin will soon be ready to bring joy and love into the lives of his new family. He is fostered with 2 furry sisters who are showing him the ropes! 

Alvin is a very smart pup who learns quickly and listens attentively. He's already crate trained and sleeps peacefully in his crate at night. This little guy loves to snuggle and enjoys playing with other dogs. He's been learning how to coexist with sheep and is becoming more accustomed to not chasing cats. Alvin chases to play, not to harm, and is showing great progress in listening when asked to leave them alone. 

Alvin is a natural pleaser who enjoys being close to his humans. Alvin loves to run with his foster siblings but always stays nearby and comes right back when called. This very good boy is ready to make someone very happy and will be a wonderful companion.

Roscoe Senior Bully Breed

We're helping a beloved member of the family. Roscoe's condition is dire—his entire body is battling a severe skin infection. His skin is oozing, and his scrotum is filled with fluid due to the infection. He was sent home with antibiotics. Neuter surgery was rescheduled.

Charlie is a beautiful dog looking for a new family. He's a very friendly dog who craves human attention. Charlie is crate trained and would do best with a family who has a fenced in yard. Although he has had interactions with small children, adult supervision is required at all times because Charlie weighs about 90 lbs and can be quite playful.

Charlie loves to play with other dogs and his human with age-appropriate toys. He can be easily redirected towards his handler and has no problems complying with what you want him to do. Charlie shares toys with anyone with no problems.

Meet Kevin Tyler. He's 50 pound male about a year old. He's been running around for awhile until an Oroville resident finally took him in. She feared he'll get frost bite with the frigid temps that was forecasted.

Kevin Tyler currently fostered with a male Great Dane. He has interacted with Heelers, Huskies and other Pitties of both genders without any problems.

Due to his size, we recommend households with older respectable children only. 

Kevin Tyler is working with his foster to build basic skills, housetraining, leash training, and crate training. He has a high prey drive so he needs monitoring around cats.

Every dog deserves a "happily ever after." Patches got hers today! Our community shared our post on how her humans passed a few weeks apart. Extended family from SW Washington saw the post and picked up Patches this afternoon. She went to her new forever home with people she knows and is already comfortable with.

Jenny - Young Female Boxer Mix

Fur Ever Yours Dog Rescue is based in Okanogan County, WA.

Jenny and her cat siblings were abandoned by a roommate. The homeowner has tried to reach out to their owners but they have not called back. At the last attempt, the phone has been disconnected.

The homeowner has kept Jenny and the cats safe. However, she has an upcoming surgery and will be unable to take care of Jenny and the cats. 

Here's what we know about Jenny:

Mixed breed - Our app says she's a Boxer mix

Weight - about 30 lbs

Age - Approximately 1 year old

Training - knows basic commands and some hand signals. Working on housetraining

Home life - Lives with dogs (Great Dane & Chihuahua). Loves all humans, lives with a 13 and 17 year old. Jenny has been exposed to children ages 6 to 10 with no issues). However, Jenny jumps on people so care must be taken when she is around younger children or the elderly.

Jenny is still intact and needs core vaccinations.

Carmine - Male Boxer Pittie Mix

Carmine has been seen running around Swanson Mill Rd outside Oroville city limits for a few days. A good Samaritan took him in.

He's potty trained, does well on a leash, is great with my humans. Even though Carmine is shy at first, he warms up quickly.

Temporary foster states  "No accidents in the house. He was very hungry and thirsty when I first brought him home but I didn't notice any food aggression from him. I've taken him for short walks to do his business and he does. He's a very happy pup."

Carmine is dog-friendly (tested with male, female, large breed and small breed).
