Announcing the Exciting Furry Math Program!
Join us for Furry Math, where learning and fun come together in a unique, pet-friendly environment! This free program is designed for kids in grades 1-8 to create math flash cards in a relaxed setting alongside our rescue pets.
Why Join Furry Math?
1. Learning Made Fun:
Engage in creating math flash cards while in the calming presence of rescue pets. This innovative approach helps children build confidence and learn at their own pace.
2. Receive a Goodie Bag:
Every participant receives a bag with animal-themed stickers, animal-centered book, coloring pages, and worksheets to continue learning at home.
Program Goals:
1. Promote Math Skills and Confidence:
Through interactive sessions, kids will enhance their math abilities while enjoying a stress-free and supportive environment.
2. Foster Compassion and Responsibility:
Children will learn the importance of compassion, creativity, and responsible pet
care, integrating these values into their daily lives.
Volunteer Opportunities
To make this program a success, we need volunteers! We are looking for dedicated moderators to run a session or two. Each session lasts 30 to 40 minutes, totaling about an hour with setup and tear down.
Local Businesses:
We are also seeking local businesses interested in hosting a session. Your support will provide a space where children can learn and interact with rescue pets.
Program Details
Live Sessions: Conducted in Oroville, Chesaw and Omak. Stay tuned for other locations.
